at 12:00pm 7 mile course offering some of the finest WNC single-track.
Course consist of varied terrain with rocks, roots, creeks, & wide open
passing lanes. (Expert, Sport, Beginner, Single Speed, & Big Bike) Bonfire and Beer awards ceremony

Most Horrible Thing Ever Pisgah Productions is proud
to announce the first ever running of 'The Most Horrible Thing Ever'.
Starting at Midnight Friday night and racing until Noon Sunday (36 hours)
Teams of two riders will race to reach up to 36 checkpoints. There will be
six separate stages each with their own mandatory checkpoints and unique
format. There will be time trials, specific routes, and PMBAR style 'choose
your own adventure' stages all centered around White Pines group campground.
There is no entry fee. There will be no prizes. This race will be about
glory and suffering, pain and endurance, fun and..... no fun at all. April 6th 2008 Catawba, VA

BC. April 19, 2008 Ducktown, TN Cohutta 100 & Epic 35 Come join New Leaf Adventures for one of the most challenging and rewarding races the south has to offer. Starting at the beautiful Ocoee Whitewater Center in Ducktown, Tennessee, the race course is 100 mile single loop around the Cohutta Wilderness Area in the Cherokee and Chattahoochee National Forests. The race returns to the Whitewater Center to finish. This race will define mountain biking with roughly 14,000 feet of elevation gain and beautiful scenery. The course will cover most of the Tanasi trail system at the Whitewater Center and the gravel roads to complete the loop around the Cohuttas. 35 and 65 mile options. Part of the N.U.E. series
May 3rd, 2008 Pisgah Forest, NC Pisgah Adventure Race: Teams of two riders compete to reach four of five checkpoints on some of the finest single-track track and forest service roads Pisgah has to offer. Routes will vary from 45-70 miles.
May 17th 2008 Bryson City, NC 12 Hours Of Tsali: Solo and team riders race across the autobahn of singletrack surrounding Fontana Lake.
May 24-25th 2008 Wilkesboro, NC Burn 24: Quickly becoming one of the most popular 24 hour races in the southeast, The Burn is back! On May 27th-28th endurance racers from all over the country will challenge the Dark Mountain trails in Wilkesboro, NC. The Dark Mountain Trails in Wilkesboro, NC are built and maintained by the Brushy Mountain Cyclists Club year-round, and they've been bustin' their humps to fine tune the trail from last year's race.
June 7th, 2008 Morristown, TN Panther Creek 12 Hr: Fast 8.3 mile lap race in Morristown, TN.
June 21st, 2008 Charlotte, NC Cowbell Challenge: 12 hr endurance race to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The 2006 Cowbell Challenge will be held at Catawba Riverfront Mountain Bike Park, in beautiful Charlotte, NC. The home of the National Whitewater Center is also home to the mountain bike event that marks the beginning of summer in Charlotte.
July 26th, 2008 State College, PA Wilderness 101: 101 mile mountain bike race offering up some the best single-track riding central Pennsylvania has to offer in the Roth Rock and Bald Eagle State Forest.
July 27th, 2008 Old Fort, NC Off Road Assault on Mt. Mitchell: 65 miles and 12,000 ft. of climbing in the rugged Pisgah National Forest surrounding the tallest mountain of the east coast. Contact Todd Branham of Blue Ridge Adventures at 828-606-5107.
August 16th, 2008 Slatyfork, WV Wild 100: A endurance orienteering race at its best. Its a all-day mountain bike marathon where length is determined by the route you choose to reach the six checkpoints and back to start/finish. Approximately 100k( 62 miles).
August 15th-17th 2008 Dahlonega, GA Fools Gold MTB Races & Festival The Fool's Gold 100 is Georgia's first and only 100 mile mountain bike race, brought to you by the race director of the largest and most fun 24 hour mountain bike race in the Southeast, the BURN 24 Hour Challenge! This race will be about lots of sweet singletrack, a few gravel road grunts, and the best party of your summer! Be prepared to ride hard, and to ride something fun and different. We promise, you won't be disappointed! With the low entry fee, all of the essential amenities (i.e. food, lodging, beer) ALL WEEKEND!, and CASH payout, we think this one will be on your race calendar for good! *We will have a shorter distance race, the length of it is TBD. Expect up to 50 miles for the shorter course.
August 31st 2008 Stokesville, VA Shenandoah 100: 100 mile mountain bike race deep in the heart of the Shenandoah National Forest of Virginia. This one is becoming a classic!
November TBA '08 Pisgah Forest, NC Swank 65: 65 k ( 42 miles) mountain bike race held in the south western end of the Pisgah National Forest.
