The owner of the property at the top of Old 70 has decided to revoke his permission to the Forest Service for use of Old 70 near Black Mtn and the top of Mill Creek Rd. You are trespassing on Private Property if you use the upper portion of Old 70 and there may be legal consequences if you are caught on this property.

Deep within the realm of the Trail Goddess,
Pisgah, I rode my 26er. Deftly carving lines through rocks and roots I was
pushing my limits to the extreme. The beast had chased me this far. I
spotted it. I caught just a glint of red between the mountain’s trees. I
felt it. It wanted me. It hunted me as though I were a play thing. Coming
close enough I could feel its breath on my neck and then receding into the
forest as though a overcast shadow.
